Edward Rogers Jr. with his wife, Stacey, and the couple's three children, 7-year-old Edward III, Kristen, 5, and Sarah, 19 months
The SabMag family was shocked to learn that Ed Rogers was in an accident on his way home from work on December 8, 2005 and died early the next morning. I'd only had the pleasure of meeting Ed in person once, but we all knew him well from his frequent contributions to the list. Ed was an MSF instructor who took his riding very seriously, and his was a voice of reason and moderation when discussions tended towards testosterone-laden tales of trips at "SabMag nominal" speeds. Ed was also funny, caring, exceptionally knowledgable mechanically, and always willing to share with other LMs.
I can't say much more, except that I'll miss him and try to benefit from his words of wisdom. You all said it much better below. Ride in Peace, Ed!
